Asterisk callme!

Something interesting happen today. We have an Asterisk voip system with Auto paging in a timed interval. The paging stopped working. Tried logging in the web console, and getting kicked out and prompted for login at any click after the successful authentication.  Which sounded familiar… Yes it is out of disk space! 130gb space is gone? so logged in .. was looking for a “FILE” or did some one break in! fortunately/unfortunately and strangely enough  it was a monitoring file from one of our conference room.

Used this little search line to find all the large files

find / -type f -size +50000k -exec ls -lh {} \; | awk ‘{ print $9 “: ” $5 }’

meetme-conf-rec-xxxx-1314080771.206844.wav: 130G

Yes. that was big!

Who made that? logged in to asterisk

elastix*CLI> meetme

One active conference room we use for IT number xxxx

elastix*CLI> meetme list xxxx

It listed “xxxx” my extension  in it. wow!

tried “meetme kick” didnt work 😦

so restarted asterisk :@

Delete the BIG file! and back in business

Need to add the server under Nagios for monitoring….

Cheers,

Saad
